Emergency Communications Programs


a.    This Departmental Regulation (DR) defines the requirements for the management and use of Emergency Communications Systems within the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).  

b.    This policy ensures that USDA’s emergency responders and key officials can continue to communicate in the event of natural disasters, acts of terrorism, and man-made disasters by maintaining interoperable emergency communication systems.  USDA will leverage Federally-managed enterprise capabilities to assist in meeting emergency communications.
