Telecommunications Services & Operations (TSO) implements, manages and maintains USDA Telecommunications Programs through its department-wide telecommunications and network security services and operations.

TSO provides Working Capital Fund activities and resource management services for the TSO organization (TRMS);

provides its customers with more secure, robust, and flexible telecommunications capabilities and enhanced network support services (UTN);

develops and coordinates technology programs of the Federal Government and related activities and organizations (IMC);

provides guidance and facilitates governance for efficient and cost-effective use and management of USDA telecommunications resources (TMD);

serves as the USDA agency or mission area representative on all telecommunications matters, and approves orders for all telecommunications circuits, services and equipment (TMACO);

furnishes USDA Agencies and staff offices cost effective centralized services for telecommunications operations nationwide (NTSO).
