Delegation of Authority
Biomass Research and Development Act of 2000, As Amended
1 PURPOSE
The purpose of this memorandum is to delegate authority within the Department to implement the provisions of the Biomass Research and Development Act of 2000, as amended (7USC 8601 et seq.) herein referred to as “BRDA”.
2 DELEGATIONS
I hereby delegate authorities vested in the Secretary by BRDA to the Under Secretary for Natural Resources and Environment (NRE) for the completion of the Fiscal Year 2005 award cycle. I hereby delegate authorities vested in the Secretary by BRDA to the Under Secretary for Rural Development for the post award responsibilities for all prior year award activities including FY 2005 and the FY 2006 award cycle. The Under Secretary for Rural Development will be the point of contact referenced in the BRDA for the Department.
3 EFFECTIVE DATE AND TERMINIATION
This delegation is effective immediately and will remain in effect for 1 year or until such earlier time as the Department’s published delegation of authority has been amended to incorporate the provisions of this memorandum.
